How long will the scent last?

Each scent will vary in longevity. A floral scent such as Wildflower will last a minimum of 4-5 months when you follow the directions. Some customers have experienced a longer diffusion time than 5 months. A food based scent such as Cinnamon will last less than 5 months but at least 3 months when the directions as followed. Please remember, our human noses become accustomed to a food based scent very quickly and it is not as prevalent to our nose as a floral. Ask your guests when they visit, due to the fact that they are not exposed to the scent in your home on a continuous basis, they can detect it easier than you.

How much area does this cover?

This fragrance unit will cover an average size room. This could be as small as a closet to as large as a living room area. The only thing that stops a scent from traveling out of a room are walls. You will be aware of the scent in the hall outside the room that contains the unit. The scent will not travel from room to room.

I have an open floor plan. Will one unit cover the entire area with fragrance?

If you have a very large room or an open floor plan, we suggest you purchase 2 units of the same scent and place them at opposite ends of the area to be treated. There are larger units available through special order. Please feel free to contact us with any inquiries on your space in question.

When do I replace the wands?

You should not have to replace your wands every time you purchase replacement oil. They can be used over & over. It is totally a personal choice to start fresh again. The cost of replacement wands is very minimal when compared to over 6 months of fragrance enjoyment. If you choose to change scents, you MUST replace the wands. DO NOT COMBINE FRAGRANCES ON THE SAME WANDS.

What do I do when I want to change my scent?

Wrap your wands in a paper towel or a paper bag. Not plastic. Allow them to breath. Be sure to label them with the fragrance name that they have already been used with. When you are ready to use them again, just unwrap them and the corresponding oil they were used with and start again! This is a great way to use Balsam Fir only during the holiday season.

How do I clean the vase when I change to a new scent?

Any type of cleaner that cuts grease will work. If the scent still remains, you can use ammonia, baking soda, or even Febreze to clear the old scent.

Will these fragrances be harmful to my pets?

These fragrance oils are completely safe around most household pets. However, birds are very sensitive to any scented item. They should not be exposed to scent at all, including your popular household cleaners, rug sprays, room sprays, carpet and upholstery cleaners and any candles, even non-scented. Warning: As with any fragrance product please do not put your Grace Essential diffuser in the same vicinity as a bird cage.
